Lifestyle
The people of Burkina Faso are, in general, very friendly and polite. It is considered very rude if you do not greet someone that you pass by, and being ignored after adressing someone is like a slap to the face. A simple greeting and smile is widely appreciated. Another custom is that when you eat, or shake someone's hand, people in Burkina Faso, whether a local or a tourist, use your right hand. The left hand is considered dirty and unusable for things like eating. Despite being a poor country, the government is very good and the economy is steady. Most have the same amount of money as the other person. There are very few large industries in the country, so most are dependent on the agricultural economy. Many work on independent fields or farms.

The people of Burkina Faso rely mainly on oral literature, though some have collected traditional stories that were recited and were able to publish books. In 1934, the first book was published that recored Mossi stories and legends, titled "Maximes: Thoughts and Riddles of the Mossi".
Clothing

Childeren are more likely to wear modern clothing (jeans, t-shirts, dresses, etc), while adults are more likely to wear the traditional clothing of their ethnic group. There are 65 different ethnic groups, so traditional wear varies widely. Religion widely impacts what someone will wear; A Christian will not wear the same thing as a Muslim, and a Muslim will not wear the same thing as a Polytheist. It is rare to see a workplace that has a uniform, but when required, the clothing is significantly different from a seperate company that requires uniforms.
Religion
The main religions of Burkina Faso are Christianity and Islam. There are several churches and mosques around the country. The muslim religion has several different traditions, including praying multiple times a day.
